EvolView is an application that lets you load a Single Program Data Dump file in SysEx format for the Dave Smith Instuments Evolver Synth. It will display a chart of the names and values of all 128 patch parameters and the sequencer settings.

I am the proud owner of Evolver #346. I created EvolView because the complexity of many of the factory patches made it difficult for me to figure out where all the sound was comming from. I found myself hitting buttons and turning knobs and making notes until I could make sense of each patch. I don't own any of the univeral patch editors so I decided to write my own patch editor. EvolView is an interim project on the way to a full patch editor.

EvolView will work on Windows 95 through XP, Mac OS X and Mac OS 8.1 (and higher)
Minimum resolution 1024x768
EvolView does not yet communicate via midi, so you will need to use another utility to dump the files to SysEx format
